My son attended a workshop for children aged 6 to 10 on space taught through LEGO activities by Maxime Castera. Maxime came up with this concept and knows exactly had to make science attractive through interactive questions and answers, real scientific props and the use of creativity through LEGO building assignment.
Maxime has found a great niche in the market: there are plenty of young boys and girls who love to build with LEGO and are interested by topics not taught in the lower school groups.
Maxime teaches in English or in French which makes them very nice workshops for international schools, organizations and families. Imagine a birthday party where a small group of children get to design a LEGO rocket or robot powered with solar energy.
He is passionate about the topic and he is very friendly which makes it a very pleasant experience for children and parents alike.
I would definitely recommend Brick scientist workshops as an educational and fun way of learning about space and robotics.-Lucie Cunningham – Mother of Loic – Workshop attendee – Rotterdam, The Netherlands
Max spent a week at Tara Boys in Delhi, India in March 2013, using Lego as a medium for teaching them a variety of subjects. He worked extremely well with the boys and was able to adapt his material and activities to cater for children from 6 years up to teenagers. The boys absolutely loved their time with Max and still talk about what they learned and how much they enjoyed the activities! Max has a natural talent for teaching and is able to make complex subjects easily understandable, digestible and interesting. We are all very much hoping he comes back to work with us again soon!-Emily Bild – Director Tara Boys – New Delhi, India
